This new feature on FLEET, allows you to link your maintenance to another equipment’s meter.

To fully understand this new feature, this diagram below will gives you an example:

💡 Advantage: Once you have several equipment, it's not necessary to update the entire equipment list with the same data. The linked equipment running meters will be fed automatically.

How to do?

1. Go to “Equipment”

2. Select the equipment you want to link

3. At the top right, choose the blue icon “Link this running meter to another equipment”

💡 Things to know:

👉 It’s not possible to put two linked "parent" equipment to one equipment.

👉 The equipment to which another equipment has been linked may have other equipment linked to it.

👉 If you duplicate an equipment, the duplicated equipment will no longer be linked to the equipment it was linked to.

👉 If you transfer an equipment to another ship, the equipment concerned will not be linked anymore.

👉 When an equipment with an activated running meter is linked to a parent equipment, its running meters disappears from the "Meters" tab and you will not be able to update the reading. Only the meters of the parent equipment can be updated:

  • If the equipment is parent, all the meters from the equipment link will be deactivated.

  • If the equipment is linked, only its meters is disabled.

👉 When the parent equipment meters is updated, every running meters are incremented with the running meter delta of the parent equipment.

👉 All the task from the equipment linked are updated.
